Rolls Rip-Off?

If it's true that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, the folks at Rolls Royce should be pleased with the new GE luxury sedan Chinese automaker Geely recently debuted at the Shanghai auto show. Somehow, though, we doubt it.

To say this new model is inspired by the venerable British luxury marque's striking Phantom sedan is a bit of an understatement.  The Chinese version does come up short in two interesting ways, however.  First, there's the 3.5-liter V-6 under the hood, which seems a little underwhelming compared to the 6.75-liter V-12 under the Phantom's bonnet.  Then there's the GE's single throne-like rear seat, which we admit is kind of cool even if it's not very practical.

To see for yourself, check out the photos of the GE here and then compare them to DriverTV's "virtual showroom experience" video tour of the Rolls Royce Phantom.  Then tell us: Which one would you rather be chauffeured around town in?
